Common Questions

What is HHC?

Hexahydrocannabinol, also known as HHC, is a psychoactive semi-synthetic cannabinoid. It is one of the hemp plants' many cannabinoids. Although HHC is sometimes made from a THC molecule, HHC and THC are two different compounds. HHC molecules usually come in two varieties: 9R and 9S. Its structure is incredibly similar to Delta-9 THC, which is the primary psychoactive component in cannabis. However, HHC doesn't have the same binding properties that Delta-9 does, creating different effects in the body.

HHC is only mildly psychoactive. This cannabinoid created back in 1944, when chemist Roger Adams hydrogenated a sample of delta-9 THC, has a higher therapeutic value than psychoactive value, making it incredibly appealing to those looking for pain relief, stress relief and comfort. You’ll find HHC in low amounts within both industrial hemp and marijuana plants, but it’s best when extracted. Extracting HHC allows consumers to better focus on and embrace the HHC cannabinoid’s effects, as its natural levels are so low.

How is HHC different from CBD and Delta-9 THC?

CBD, Delta-9 THC and HHC are all compounds called cannabinoids that are found naturally in the hemp plant. CBD is non-intoxicating. Delta-9 (the common form of THC in marijuana) is intoxicating. HHC has a structure that is slightly different than Delta-9. HHC may cause a cerebral euphoria and may cause some people to experience feelings of intoxication. Many report that the effects of HHC edibles are milder than similar Delta-9 products.

How is HHC legal?

Under the 2018 Farm Bill any hemp-derived products, such as HHC containing less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis are considered legal. Our HHC gummies and other products comply with this regulation.

Can get you "high" off HHC?

People who consume HHC gummies may experience feelings of intoxication and/or a cerebral euphoric effect. Many report that the effects of HHC products are milder than similar Delta-9 THC products.

Will I fail a drug test after taking HHC?

While it’s legal through hemp, yes, you are still very likely to fail a drug test with HHC in your system because it's a psychoactive substance. However, it may not be for the reason that you think. Likewise, it depends on the type of drug test being used as well as other factors. The frequency of HHC use, your metabolism and weight, gender, age, and more also play into it.

It’s important to understand how drug tests work when it comes to THC, though. Most people think the tests look for Delta-9 THC metabolites. Currently, most drug tests aren’t quite that advanced enough yet. Instead, drug tests look for THC metabolites rather than any specific cannabinoid.

Urine tests, for example, work to detect Delta-9's primary inactive metabolite, also known as THC-COOH.

These metabolites can be detected after use, especially in the urine, because they’re stored in our fat cells.

Do you ship HHC gummies to my destination?

To maintain compliance with regulations regarding HHC, the formula containing HHC does not ship internationally or to several states within the USA where HHC is considered to be illegal. Laws change rapidly. Please consult the laws of your state prior to purchasing any HHC product.

What is the age requirement and warnings I should know about before taking HHC?

Juicy Kush HHC products are for use by adults 21 years or older. These products contain a total delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration that does not exceed 0.3% on a dry-weight basis. Keep out of reach of children and animals. Ask a healthcare professional before use if pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition or are taking any medication. Do not drive a vehicle or operate heavy machinery while using any HHC product and under its influence.

What is the suggested use for HHC products?

HHC edibles and HHC gummies offer a unique way to enjoy a recreational buzz. On each of our HHC blend products, we provide a suggested use on its label. However, if you are new to THC you may want to start with less than a full serving and gradually increase as desired.

Can I drive or operate heavy machine after taking HHC gummies?

No, do not drive a vehicle or operate heavy machinery while using any HHC product and under its influence.
